Boeing said it has struck its biggest ever deal with a European airline after Norwegian Air Shuttle placed a firm order for 100 737 MAX planes and 22 737-800s.
The company said the order is worth $11.4 billion at list prices.
Norwegian also placed an order with Airbus 100 A320neo planes. Its orders include additional purchase right of 150 aircraft from both manufacturers.
Norwegian, which began flying in 2002, operates 62 Boeing 737s. It now has 184 unfilled orders, all single-aisle 737s except for six 787 Dreamliners.
