"We remain committed to the 787 and continue to believe that it will be a game changer when it comes on the scene."
Julie King
"The fundamental technology advances developed for the 787 are absolutely sound. ... We remain very confident the 787 will be a wonderful airplane for our customers and their passengers."
Scott Carson
"The delay will probably lead to at least several months of push-out on first delivery ... The best-case scenario for first delivery may be mid-2010."
J.B. Groh
"I don't think it means much overall, but it certainly is a disappointment short-term."
Paul Nisbet
"I have full confidence that the Boeing team — the best and brightest in the aerospace industry — will quickly find a solution that will allow the 787 to take its maiden flight soon. I look forward to celebrating the first flight and many future deliveries of the 787 with the talented men and women of the Dreamliner team."
Gov. Chris Gregoire
They can't keep picking a date and missing it — the industry is depending on them."
