Street closures for Fourth of July fireworks
Posted by Nicole Tsong
Some of Bellevue's downtown streets will be closed Sunday evening to accommodate traffic from crowds there for the Fourth of July fireworks.
The street closures will start at 9:30 p.m., shortly before fireworks at Bellevue Downtown Park begin at 10:05 p.m. The city is shutting down Northeast Fourth between 100th Avenue Northeast and Bellevue Way and also 100th Avenue Northeast between Northeast First and Fifth streets.
The streets will open one-way after the fireworks to help clear out downtown, allowing eastbound traffic on Northeast Fourth and northbound traffic on 100th Avenue. There will be some additional restrictions for turns, including:
- No right turns from 100th Avenue to Northeast Eighth Street. Drivers are permitted to turn right on Northeast 10th Street.
- No left turns from southbound 102nd Avenue Northeast to eastbound Northeast Eighth Street.
- No left turns from southbound Bellevue Way onto eastbound Northeast Fourth Street. Bellevue Way is open southbound to drivers headed to I-90 or I-405.
Once traffic has cleared, the roads will open to regular traffic. For more information about Fourth of July events in Bellevue, see http://www.bellevuedowntown.org/events/familyfourth/index.html.
