Does Neiman's hit the fashion mark?
Posted by Nicole Tsong
Almost everyone I know has cut back on shopping this year, and for its new Bellevue store, Neiman Marcus has tried to downplay sky-high prices and lure shoppers in. Gift cards for $50 have shown up in a few of my friends' mailboxes. Hey, free money works.
The department store opens to the public today, and I am putting my fashion hat on. I have enlisted the help of friend and local fashion blogger Angie Ma. Her specialty is finding designer on deep discount; she scoffs at 40 percent off.
We're headed to Neiman's at 10 a.m. to see whether the store offers something new and different from Nordstrom, Barneys New York and local high-end boutiques. Follow us on Twitter at @NicoleTsong, read updates on the Bellevue blog or use the hash tag #stbravern. We will let you know what we find. Then we will wait for the sales.
