Bellevue police aid in suspected murder-suicide
Posted by Nicole Tsong
The Bellevue Police Department helped the Coast Guard track down a man involved in a suspected murder-suicide, according to a story we ran today.
The Bellevue police alerted the Coast Guard and the San Juan County Sheriff's Office Wednesday that a possible homicide suspect was traveling in the San Juan Islands, the Coast Guard said. The man had sent friends a text message that he had killed his girlfriend and was planning to kill himself, according to Bellevue police. Police then used his cellphone signal to figure out his location.
The man was tracked to a powerboat, and authorities also discovered the body of a woman from the Sammamish area, the Coast Guard said. Read the full story for more details.
