Outdoor movies move to Eastgate for Tuesday's "Kung Fu Panda" show
Posted by Katherine Long
The next couple of movies in Bellevue's outdoor movie series will be shown at Eastgate Park, starting with "Kung Fu Panda" this Tuesday night. And if it rains? No problem -- the movies will move indoors to the gym at the South Bellevue Community Center.
The movies are free, but the city has been collecting goods for charities at each showing. On Tuesday, you're asked to bring socks and underwear for YouthCare.
"Kung Fu Panda" starts between 8 and 8:30 p.m. For what it's worth, my two teenagers love this DreamWorks picture, which stars the voice of Jack Black as a pudgy panda who dreams of Kung-Fu glory, and Dustin Hoffman, who plays the kung fu master who trains him. Last year, our reviewer enjoyed it, too.
The movies will be shown on the ballfield at the park at 14509 S.E. Newport Way. If it does rain Tuesday, the South Bellevue Community Center is next door.
