New Eastside site helps human services needs

Posted by Katherine Long

More people need help. More people want to give help.

That's the intent behind EastsideHelps, a new Web site started by Eastside human service leaders to help people in need, and also to channel donations to the places that need them most.

Here you can find out how to get financial help, rent assistance, food or meals, job training and health care, including mental health care, from Eastside service agencies.

Or if you want to help out, you can learn where to donate money, time or material goods to help others in need.

The site is being sponsored by the cities of Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah and Mercer Island. It was created through a partnership with Kirkland Conversations, an informal gathering of Kirkland community leaders, and the Eastside Human Services Forum.
