Downtown Bellevue has snap and pop on the Fourth

Posted by Nicole Tsong

Bellevue sure loves a patriotic party.

Much of Bellevue and the Eastside will be in downtown Bellevue Saturday, drawn by live music, a C-17 flyover from McChord Air Force Base and the grand finale: fireworks set to a live performance by the Bellevue Philharmonic. The annual Fourth of July celebration, which is expected to draw 60,000 or more, opens at 2 p.m. at Bellevue Downtown Park.

Look for the flyover around 4 p.m., while acts including country singer/songwriter Jonathan Harris and the tribute hits band Lenny Epps Revue will take the Overlake Hospital Main Stage. The Bellevue Philharmonic performances begins at 9:20 p.m., with fireworks at 10:05 p.m. The Bellevue Downtown Association web site has the full schedule and details.

Anyone have suggestions for parking besides after 6 p.m. at Bellevue Square?
