Our pretend spring has fled the scene, so this holiday weekend seems well-suited to indoor activities. Here are a few:

• Movies: For kids -- and everyone who remembers Mary Norton's "The Borrowers" series -- there's the animated "The Secret World of Arrietty"; for rom-com fans, there's "This Means War" and for documentaryphiles, there's "Man on a Mission." To read reviews, go here.

• Seattle Home Show: Inspiration and information about homes and gardens can be found at the show, which begins Saturday at CenturyLink Field Events Center. Details here.
• Octopus week: Learn more about our amazing underwater neighbors at Seattle Aquarium, through videos of octopus release, daily feedings and talks. Info here; see a photo gallery here.

• Free exhibits: In recognition of Japanese-American Day of Remembrance, admission to Seattle Asian Art Museum will be free on Sunday. That is also the last day of the wonderful exhibition, "Painting Seattle: Kamekichi Tokita and Kenjiro Nomura." Read a review of the exhibition here. Also: The Frye Art Museum (free every day) has three exhibitions opening this weekend, by Susie J. • Theater: "Tartuffe," Moliere's takedown of religious hypocrisy and social climbing, is at Taproot Theatre through March 3. Read a review here.
