ArtsPage

The Seattle area is home to a vibrant arts scene — there's always something going on in theaters, concert halls, galleries, museums. How to keep up? ArtsPage will showcase work by some of The Seattle Times' expert fine-arts writers, to help you navigate local art offerings. We'll include news, observations, images, humor, links and ways for you to join the conversation, too.

Must the show go on?

On this snowy day, we're running a long list of plays, concerts, readings and art shows that have been canceled due to bad weather. That makes some ticket-holders happy ("Yay! We can stay home!") and some hopping mad ("Boo! I wanted to see that!").

Some readers are mad because an event wasn't canceled. Like one reader who complained to us that Seattle Opera should cancel Wednesday night's "Attila" for the safety of its patrons.

Your thoughts? If you ran the opera (or the Rep or "Cavalia" or ...) would you cancel or not?
