Does it get any better than Blake and dessert?Seattle Times staff reporter Got Blake fever? Some Northwesterners have it so bad they're flying to Los Angeles just to be in the same ZIP code with Bothell's beatboxing heartthrob when he battles it out with Jordin Sparks for the "American Idol" crown this week. Others are staying home but still want to feel closer to the action. Tonight, local fan club the Blaker Girls and the University of Washington Bothell will host a public viewing of the TV show at the UW Bothell North Creek Café and Events Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The viewing is free, with a recommended donation to Seattle Children's Hospital. On TV "American Idol," 8 p.m. today and Wednesday on KCPQ. Wednesday, Idolmaniacs will celebrate in Experience Music Project's Sky Church, at an event hosted by EMP, KPLZ-FM (101.5) and KOMO-AM 1000. Doors open at 7:30. The only way to get tickets is by listening to Star 101.5 today and Wednesday, or KOMO 1000 News on Wednesday, and calling the stations when instructed. Appetizers, dessert and a no-host bar will be available. Prizes include tickets to this summer's "American Idols Live" tour at the Tacoma Dome.
