"Top Chef": Seattle chefs tapped for Bravo knife fight in Vegas!
Posted by Nancy Leson
Brava for Bravo! They've tapped not one but two Seattle chefs for the next exciting installment of "Top Chef."

Robin Leventhal (glamor-shot at left) and Ashley Merriman set to star on "Top Chef" (photos/Bravo TV)
Leventhal (former owner/chef of the recently shuttered bistro Crave) and Merriman (late of Tilth, now at Branzino), are set to compete with challengers from across the nation. Season six debuts August 26 at 9 p.m., so mark your calendars. Who's their competition? Read the chef-bios here, and check out this get-acquainted video, where you can weigh first impressions of the 17 contestants' star-quotient (or lack thereof) as well as an astonishing number of revealing tattoos:
How did the Seattle chefs got from here to there? First came the casting call, chronicled in this February blog-post -- the one in which I rightly suggested Leventhal might be just the gal to show the nation what Seattle chefs are made of.

Robin, registering for her "Top Chef" casting call at Canlis.
Congrats and best of luck, local ladies. May we root for you both at the finale!
