A: Start on our Obituaries page to locate articles on prominent individuals during the current week. For paid death notices, use the search field at the top right of the Obituaries page or find additional search options on the Death notices page. These notices are archived online for one year and may be searched by keyword.
You can search our online archive for obituaries published since Feb 1, 1996. Obituaries posted prior to that date are available on microfilm at your public library periodical archive. For access to our digitized Seattle Times Historical Archive from 1900 to 1984 you can access obituaries here for a fee-based subscription.
Q: How do I send a letter to the editor?
A: Letters, not exceeding 200 words, must include your full name, address and telephone numbers for verification. Letters become the property of The Times and may be edited for publication.
