2004 governor's race by precinct

As expected, Democrat Christine Gregoire received the strongest support from central urban areas along the Interstate 5 corridor while Republican Dino Rossi's strength was in the outer suburbs in the 2004 race. However, precinct returns from King and Snohomish counties show that some traditionally Democratic-leaning areas voted for Rossi, especially in Snohomish County. Precincts in cities like Mukilteo, Bothell, Mill Creek and Snohomish voted for Rossi while also choosing Democrat John Kerry over Republican George W. Bush in the presidential race. In fact, 164 out of 698 precincts in Snohomish County voted for Rossi and Kerry. One precinct chose Gregoire and Bush.
