Live chat about the Highway 520 bridge replacement project
Join Seattle Times transportation reporter Mike Lindblom for a live chat about the Highway 520 bridge replacement project. Lindblom will answer questions about the bridge design proposals and the controversy surrounding them. The state is designing a bridge with two general lanes and an HOV/transit lane in each direction, while some Seattle activists and Mayor Mike McGinn, want light rail tracks installed, so cars wouldn't use more than two vehicle lanes each way. There also is much debate about the design and transit connections at the bridge's westside interchange. Lindblom has been covering transportation full-time, including the Highway 520 bridge, for the Seattle Times since 2002.
