Argosy Christmas Ship™ Festival Catch the wondrous spirit of the holiday. Hear it in glorious caroling by some of the Northwest's finest choirs on 23 magical evenings. Feel it in free community bonfires shared by thousands of people of all ages at waterfront locations. See it in the shimmering of hundreds of sparkling white lights. Again this year a portion of all Christmas Ship™ Festival ticket sales will help raise thousands of dollars to benefit The Seattle Times Fund For The Needy. Schedule and ticket information The Sound of Music This year marks the 40th anniversary of the film version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music and The 5th Avenue Theatre is proud to present their production of this timeless classic for the holidays. Filled with cherished songs and the heart-warming story of the von Trapp family, this is an event the entire family will enjoy. Partial proceeds from ticket sales to the Sunday, Dec. 18, 7 p.m. performance will benefit the Fund For The Needy. David Lanz Concert Spend an unforgettable evening of joyous holiday music with Grammy-nominated local composer and pianist David Lanz. Join Lanz, and his special guest flutist Gary Stroutsos, in the intimate setting of the Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall as he performs music from a repertoire that spans more than 20 years. Tickets for this Winter Solstice concert to benefit the Fund For The Needy are available through ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Sleeping Beauty Enjoy the timeless magic of Sleeping Beauty with a modern touch of humor, music and style. With adventure, romance, friendships and family, there is something for kids of all ages. And when you see select performances of Sleeping Beauty you'll also help make a difference for our community's children, families and seniors in need.
