1. Where is the puzzle? I don't see anything.
The crossword software uses Java technology, which is probably not present or working properly on your computer. Please try downloading the latest Java plug-in. In most cases this will solve the problem. Downloading is free and installing easy.

The latest Java plug-in for Windows (except Windows 95) can be downloaded for free from the Java home page (click "Get It Now").

Windows 95 users will need to download Java for Windows 95.

Java is included with Macintosh OS X. If you're working on a Mac running OS 8 or 9, you'll need to download the plug-in for Macintosh (MRJ 2.2.5).

Java for systems not mentioned above can be downloaded for free from Java's manual-download page.

If, after installing the latest Java plugin, you're still having technical problems, please check your security settings. Very strict security settings, anti-virus software or firewalls may prevent Java from working properly.

4. I have Acrobat Reader, but the puzzle still doesn't print correctly. What do I do?
If the puzzle isn't printing correctly - if lines in the puzzle grid aren't showing up, for example - your computer probably does not know it should use Acrobat Reader for opening PDF files. Save the file to your desktop and then:

PC users: Right-click on the file while pressing the Shift key. Select 'Open with...' from the menu. When a window appears with a list of programs to choose from, find Acrobat Reader in the list, click on it to select it, then click to place a check mark in the box just underneath the list of programs to instruct your computer to use Acrobat Reader whenever opening PDF files. Then click OK.

Mac users: Click on the file while pressing the Control key. Select "Open with..." from the menu. When the list of programs appears, select Acrobat Reader from the list, then click to place a check mark in the box just underneath the list of programs to instruct your computer to use Acrobat Reader whenever opening PDF files.
