Flags were key link to cop slaying, bombings
A Seattle Police Department officer looks at a window near where Christopher John Monfort was shot Friday. Monfort is a suspect in the fatal shooting of Officer Timothy Brenton. Police said they found rifles and improvised explosive devices inside Monfort's Tukwila apartment. Also new this afternoon: an American flag was left at both the Oct. 22 police-car arson and the attack on Brenton.
