A slow cruise along the lake
Workers swept the tracks as a new South Lake Union streetcar took its first test trip down Westlake Avenue on Friday afternoon. Transportation officials warn the public to watch out for trains during the next eight weeks of testing. Service begins in mid-December on the 1.3-mile, $51 million line, from the downtown retail core to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
