By remodeling rather than tearing down a 1910 building on West Galer Street, architect Geoff Prentiss enhanced the character and scale of the streetscape. Subtle repetition and complementary colors link the new and old façades: the windows above the coffee shop echo the shape of the adjoining window wall, and the dark-brown paint and pumpkin-bright door meld with the copper cladding and yellow-painted windows of the new architecture office and loft apartment.
