Ocean dead zones off Oregon coast

This video was taken from a robotic submersible along the Oregon coast. Scenes include shots from pre-zero oxygen conditions and then the onset of zero oxygen during the summer of 2006. The resulting die-offs included most large bottom-dwelling marine animals, including Dungeness crabs, marine worms, sea cucumbers and sea stars.
