Seattle gutted: WaMu jobs, offices lost

As it cuts 3,400 jobs, JPMorgan will empty most of the leased space in downtown Seattle used by WaMu, the biggest occupant of downtown office property.

The White House tree will not include an ornament, created by a Seattle artist, that features a picture of Democratic Rep. Jim McDermott of Seattle, a longtime Bush foe who backs impeachment, and tiny glued-on text that hails the impeachment resolution.
